Hanover Reconstructs the 2013 U.S. News & World Report Law School Rankings
WASHINGTON, DC—Hanover Research revealed a near-perfect reconstruction of the 2013 U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) Best Law School rankings last week. Hanover Research members now have access to a “What-If” scenario tool and related analysis, as well as access to a complete reconstruction of the 2012 rankings.
The reconstruction model allows Hanover to analyze the current position of a school in the rankings and where it stands in terms of each of the variables constituting the rankings. By examining the school’s strengths and weaknesses with respect to the ranking factors and testing various hypothetical scenarios, Hanover then recommends strategies for improvement in the rankings. In addition to this analysis, a “What-If” scenario tool is provided. This tool allows any set of values to be entered in place of the school’s current values, and then re-computes the rankings with the new values to show where it would have placed in the 2013 rankings.
A graph representing the scores from U.S. News & World Report and Hanover representing the scores from U.S. News & World Report and Hanover shows that the scores align almost perfectly.
