How It Works

Paragon K12 uses a framework to assess teacher quality that is the culmination of a large scale meta-analysis which includes hundreds of thousands of data points. Within this schema, teacher inputs and teaching processes interact to produce teacher impact, defined as student achievement.

Paragon K12 measures a comprehensive set of variables with the recognition that each variable and variable combination impact student achievement differently.

The system’s model bases resulting scores accordingly on the interplay between these variables.

Integration With Your Current Process

Paragon K12 is offered as web-based Software-as-a-Service with a user interface that can be learned in minutes. Paragon K12’s back end does the heavy lifting for the district by administering and scoring applicants’ assessments, and then adding them to a comparison group for easy prioritization by the district.

The Paragon Process

When a candidate applies, the applicant is sent the Paragon K12 Assessment, which they access and complete online. After the assessment is complete, the results are automatically tabulated and displayed within the cloud-based Paragon K12 system for hiring managers at the district to view.

Hiring managers will be able to view the candidates for a given position ranked according to their propensity to impact student learning, and will be able to drill down to view individual reports for each candidate that documents the breakdown of their scores, and provides an additional layer of analysis for use during in-person interviews.

The resulting process introduces a cascade effect, freeing hiring managers to maximize the impact of their interviews and practical components.
