In early 2016, we partnered with Vertafore, a leading provider of insurance technology, to conduct a survey that would gauge the impact of insurance software on employee morale, job satisfaction, productivity, turnover, and other human resources success metrics.
Vertafore recently released the results in its report: Managing Your Workforce in the Digital Era: Strategies and Solutions for Maximizing Employee Performance and Engagement. Here are some of the key findings:
- 76 percent of independent insurance agents say ease of use of their insurance software most positively impacts their job satisfaction.
- Software that is easy to use, facilitates multitasking, and is designed for the insurance industry enhances job satisfaction.
- In agencies with multiple offices, job satisfaction is 96 percent among those with more modern management software, compared to 85 percent for users of older software.
- Technology makes a difference: Over half (55 percent) of respondents say their insurance software has a positive influence on their job satisfaction; 58 percent of those with more modern solutions report higher jo b satisfaction as opposed to the 50 percent rating associated with older software.
