Arlington, VA — July 16, 2019 —Hanover Research has been named a winner of the 9th Annual Institute for Excellence in Sales (IES) Awards in the Sales Training award category. The award winners were announced at the IES Award breakfast gala on May 31 at the Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church, VA, just outside of Washington DC. The awards recognize organizational sales operational excellence and have been referred to as the “Oscars” for sales teams and organizations.
“Our sales training program has been critical to developing team members for the next steps in their sales careers, and I am thrilled that IES has chosen to recognize our program as a category winner,” says Vineeta Mooganur, Chief Growth Officer, Corporate Practice, Hanover Research.
“Our sales trainings help optimize performance of staff from entry-level to leadership level. I am pleased to see the hard work and rigor of this program receive recognition as an IES Sales Excellence Awards winner,” said Sid Phillips, Chief Growth Officer, Education Practice, Hanover Research.
Hanover Research won for its training curriculum redesign emphasizing maximizing the impact of every client interaction, learning how to navigate difficult conversations, and how to use effective questioning to keep clients focused on long-term strategic plans and goals.
Hanover offers a robust sales training program. This commitment to training starts with a 120-day onboarding program that combines classroom training, live and recorded call reviews, extensive role plays, and a tested signoff process. Hanover continues to educate established and senior team members with access to on-demand online training sessions, monthly classroom continued development sessions, access to outside training experts, and participation in organizations like the Institute for Excellence in Sales. The training programs culminate with a multi-tiered management training curriculum for new managers and a ‘Coach the Coaches’ curriculum for established managers.
Awards were presented in four categories recognizing sales & business development operational excellence. Partners, customers and clients nominated this year’s winners and finalists for their leadership and vision in sales. The four categories were for Excellence in: Sales Innovation; Sales Training; Sales Management; and Partnering.
Finalists were selected from a large pool of nominees by an independent panel of expert judges for their commitment to excellence in multiple sales and business development categories. More than 23 companies submitted for the Sales Training category and six finalists were announced in May 2019.
“The excellence demonstrated by the winners and all of the finalists was inspiring,” said Fred Diamond, President and Co-Founder of the IES. “Every year, the IES recognizes companies that are doing great work to show value to their customers, in these cases, across multiple industries. We received tremendous applications from companies ranging from General Motors, Salesforce, Tableau and others. The judges had their work cut out for them.”
