fall 2020 enrollment report

Check out our recent webinar where we discuss findings from our national survey.

Amid growing skepticism over the value of higher education, the onset of the COVID-19 crisis has strained higher education enrollments even further. The uncertainty over the duration of the pandemic and the timeline for recovery has permeated campuses, with early projections suggesting the potential for a 15% drop in enrollment, resulting in billions of dollars in losses.

In the wake of an unprecedented crisis, many higher education leaders face uncertainty about whether students will return in the fall, how well institutions will be able to attract new students, and the lasting impact the crisis may have on higher education.

To gain insight into how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected students’ academic plans and well-being, as well as how effectively colleges and universities have responded to the pandemic to date, Hanover Research conducted a national survey of more than 1,000 current bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students enrolled at institutions in the United States.
