Tuition fees continue to increase across the board, with the most significant increases in private and public out-of-state. In 2016-2017, the average published tuition and fee price at private, non-profit institutions was $33,480, compared to $24,930 for out-of-state students and $9,560 for in-state students at public institutions. Private tuition and out of state tuition both increased 3.6%, while in-state tuition increased by 2.4%.
