A state education agency (SEA) is building their capacity in its data collection processes in an effort to collect relevant and required data for evaluative purposes, particularly in program evaluation and funding considerations, as well as communicate findings to multiple educational partners to inform decision-making. To support this effort, the SEA has partnered with Hanover Research to review secondary research on how educational leaders can collect, organize, and use data to evaluate, report, and present data to various educational partners.
This report summarizes research on best practices for SEAs and other educational leaders to support effective data processes and includes promising practices from peer agencies that reflect this research.
