Researchers believe that tutoring “ranks among the most widespread, versatile, and potentially transformative instruments within today’s educational toolkit.” However, the dosage and delivery of tutoring has a significant impact on its ability to effect change.
To explore the implementation and impact of tutoring, a member district has partnered with Hanover Research to conduct a secondary study to inform its approach to tutoring data collection and understand the extent to which tutoring can be expected to accelerate student learning.
To support the member district, Hanover reviewed secondary research and recommendations from educational organizations on the impact of tutoring on student learning and achievement, as well as best practices for data collection and monitoring of tutoring programs.
