There are a number of complex, high-dollar, institutional proposals in the pipeline in the next year or so that will need quite a bit of grant development support with everything from strategy to partnerships and grant writing itself. The number of faculty seeking external funding for their research, scholarly, and creative activities has reached a critical mass, and the current staff can’t sustain (and grow) these numbers alone.
The research development team has been aware of Hanover’s work for a few years (through NORDP and other colleagues in the field), and we’re now at the place where we feel that Hanover’s services are not only desired but needed. Hanover’s support in writing and editing our grant proposals will allow the research development staff to spend more time focusing on the bigger picture for these proposals and allow us to spend more one-on-one time with individual PIs.
