We decided to partner with Hanover due to our need for a full-service firm to provide wrap-around support in a way that would expand the capacity of my sponsored programs office. One of my main goals for the year is to increase the success rate of our federal sponsored program proposals so that I can also increase the amount of indirect costs to the university. I will be using Hanover for our federal funding opportunities so that I can demonstrate the value and return on investment of using such a firm for these valuable pre-award services. Hanover’s proposal support and development services will be critical for CMU at this stage of our research enterprise expansion; I even want to use Hanover to go through some declined proposals and peer review summaries to advise our faculty on how to strengthen their proposals, so we can resubmit them. I don’t know of any other vendors with comprehensive services like Hanover.
