Lubbock Christian University (LCU) is partnering with Hanover Research to build essential grantsmanship skills for our faculty who wish to move their research programs to the next level.
As a younger institution, grantsmanship has not been a priority for much of our history. However, as we mature as a university, research and the extramural funding that fuels it is becoming more important. Although we have a small group of successful grant writers in areas such as chemistry and nursing, grantsmanship is a new skill for most of our faculty.
We looked at several potential companies to help us build our faculty’s grant writing capacity and expand our research footprint. In the end, we chose Hanover because of their funding success rates and their cohort-based faculty training model that includes both assistance in aligning our projects with the best-fit granting opportunities and individual grant development plans that will help our faculty researchers establish short- and long-term funding targets.
