Over the next year, our focus is advancing our 2030 Strategic Plan, modernizing our economic value narrative, and sharpening enrolment and program decisions with current market data. Hanover Research gives us the capacity to move several of these priorities forward with limited internal resources.
Hanover acts as an extension of our Institutional Planning and Research function, allowing us to tackle more projects and benefit from their higher education expertise. The most valuable aspect of Hanover’s model is the pairing of custom primary research with on-demand access to an extensive higher education library. This unique combination allows us to answer institution-specific questions while learning from our Canadian and international peers.
We expect the greatest impact of this partnership will be in three key areas: brand and reputation benchmarking, economic impact and advocacy, and enrolment/program strategy. For example, a comprehensive brand perception survey will help us set and track our reputation targets, while a new economic impact study will strengthen the case for investment, advocacy, and partnership with governments, funders, and community leaders.
For leaders at other institutions, be clear about your institutional strategy, seek a partner who can act as a true force multiplier, not just a vendor, and prioritize collaborations that deliver deep value across multiple projects and portfolios. The real value of Hanover is in serving as an added research capacity and thought partnership, not just delivering standalone reports.
