The TAACCCT grant of $3.4 million to the Community College of Rhode will not support its existing programs and thus will not be a substitute for state funding or tuition. Rather, the grant will cover the cost to CCRI of designing and staffing entirely new vehicles to meet the retraining needs of unemployed Rhode Islanders more quickly and effectively than traditional community college programs.

Hanover Grants provided critical assistance to CCRI’s grant writers in understanding the requirements of the TAACCCT competition, collecting the information necessary to support its proposal, suggesting revisions and writing its winning application.
